RARIFIED AIR

My recent move to a new apartment has been filled with exciting things- I get tons of natural light that pours in through leaded windows, I have all sorts of design decisions to make, I can spend time in a great public outdoor space nearby, a I have a new neighborhood to explore. All good things. The only problem is that I have cigarette smokers on my floor. And it smells yucky. And its seeping into my apartment. I have tried all sorts of approaches to battle the odor- from charcoal to gels that are supposed to suck the bad scent out and neutralize the air. Maybe the best thing to do is to mask the smell, and fill the air with a pretty scent. Here are three favorites that will soon be in heavy rotation.

Carnal Flower by Frederic Malle is the most amazing fragrance. It has Gardenia in it, so this room spray would be my top pick to spritz morning, noon and night.

From the candle to the spray, I can't get enough of this Diptyque fig scent, especially come winter.

Freesia is one of the white flowers I adore. Together with a pear scent, I think this Jo Malone pairing could be a good combination.
