Over three days in May, leading designers and industry experts from around the country gather for lectures, parties and hobnobbing. Now in its seventh year, this shopping mecca, known as The La Cienega Design Quarter, a heat-seeking, high-design quarter of showrooms, galleries and shops along La Cienega Boulevard in West Hollywood plays host to LEGENDS of LCDQ, a can't miss gathering. There is something very unique about this decor corridor at the intersection of Melrose Place and La Cienega, with its mix of charming shops, antique dealers. sophisticated showrooms and fashion houses that co-exist below Sunset Boulevard. This design destination attracts a who's who of design crowd, filled with editors, designers and design aficionados who come to learn,  be inspired  and see product launches in a whirlwind blitz of receptions, lectures, and parties.

I am so pleased to be attending this exhilerating event again this year from May 6-8th, as an LCDQ Ambassador. (I have covered the event since it began; here are some past window creations.)  This event is so much fun, I look forward to it all year long. California in May! New and old design friends! Count me in. This year's theme, Where Muses Dwell, will serve as the inspiration point for the decorated windows in the surrounding area, as they are transformed by fifty-seven national designers. Every year is so rich and varied, be prepared to be amazed. LA is certainly the place to get theatrical! I am looking forward to joining my fellow blogger friends in this fabulous event, as we re-connect, share and explore the best design LA has to offer.  Check out the "Muses" below, you are sure to find your creative zeitgeist on the list.  See you in sunny California this May!
