HOUSING WORKS DESIGN ON A DIME HEADS TO BROOKLYN THIS OCTOBER

The most fun (and frenzied) interior design shopping event of the year, Design on a Dime is coming to Industry City in Brooklyn this October. Usually occurring in May in New York City, the event has recently expanded to Miami, and now, Brooklyn. If you haven't experienced Industry City yet, it is something to see. Located in Sunset Park, the massive complex consists of renovated factory buildings covering 25 acres,  that have mixed use office and retail, done in a cool and exciting way by the real estate group that created Chelsea Market, Jamestown Properties. The event will capture the design energy of Brooklyn now, and 20 designers will create shoppable vignettes for the charity.  Benefiting Housing Works’ lifesaving services, housing, and advocacy for New Yorkers living with and affected by HIV/AIDS and homelessness, the Elle Decor- sponsored event has raised over $10 million since it began, and has become a great way to discover emerging design talent and see how to design a tiny space with style. Ahead, the designers participating in the Brooklyn Outpost this October 6th-9th. Reserve tickets for the opening night here. I will see you there, in comfortable shoes, ready to shop!
